We help our customers discover new life

Full Scale Fitness offers in-home personal training to Akron, Canton, Columbus, Ohio and to St. George, Utah. We offer online personal training to everyone in and out of our in-home service areas. For our in-home training, there is no equipment needed, we bring the gym to you! Our staff of trainers are there every step of the way for your fitness goals. They will teach you how to properly exercise, will build custom exercise programs, and will always keep you motivated.
Here at Full Scale Fitness we believe that everyone has a specific goal unique to them. We don’t believe that every guy in the gym wants to get bigger or every female wants to lose weight. We believe in a full scale variety of goals whether it is sport specific, weight specific, strength specific, etc. Whatever your goal is, we can help you achieve it! That, is Full Scale Fitness.

Andy Hanson, MS, DBC-1

Owner & Head Trainer

I started Full Scale Fitness in the hope to change people’s lives with my own two hands. I wanted to develop a new approach to personal training and keep the training, well, personal! It all started when I realized I was not utilizing my passion for fitness like I knew I could. So, I started Full Scale Fitness in 2014. I have my Masters degree in Exercise Physiology and Adult Fitness from The University of Akron. I currently teach two Kinesiology courses as an assistant professor at The University of Akron. In February of 2018, I traveled to Miami FL to study under the great Donnie Raimon and David Alexander and receive my Level 1 DBC certification. Donnie is Lebron James personal trainer and David works with hundreds of pro athletes (ex. Dwayne Wade, Von Miller, Victor Oladipo, Gary Woodland and more). I am 1 of 500 individuals in the world with the Level 1 DBC certification in Biomechanics and Human Movement. I'm an outdoorsy guy who loves to travel. I have a 4lb Yorkie named Kiwi and I got married to my beautiful wife in 2021. Life is good!

Desiree Hanson, BS

My name is Desiree Hanson. I grew up in central New Jersey and ventured to Ohio in 2009 to pursue my degree in teaching. I graduated from The University of Akron with my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. Shortly after, I obtained my 4/5 endorsement towards my masters degree from Walsh University. I assist with content creation, scheduling and public relations on a daily basis for Full Scale Fitness. My husband and I have a 4 lb. Yorkie named Kiwi and he is full of energy! In my free time I enjoy hiking and leading an active lifestyle.

Kat Michlik

Personal Trainer

Hi, I’m Katerina (Kat) Michlik! I’m in my final year of undergraduate studies at the University of Akron studying Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. I am also a personal trainer certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine with the goal of soon becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Surprisingly, I’ve never been into sports growing up, however when I stepped into the gym in college, it became a huge part of my life. Adopting a lifestyle involving fitness is capable for everyone any age and experience level. Let’s work together and fit fitness into your life!

Alex Schwarz, RD, LD

Personal Trainer & Registered Dietitian

I’m Alex Schwarz and I am currently a student at The University of Akron. I am majoring in nutrition and dietetics. I plan on becoming a Registered Dietitian here in Northeast Ohio. I became a personal trainer because I want to help people with both their nutrition and exercise. I’ve been training myself for several years now and it’s truly a lifestyle now. My favorite exercise is the bench press because it is a great test of overall upper body strength as well as mental strength.

Hi, I’m Logan! I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Akron working towards my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy. I am a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as well as a Certified Group Fitness instructor and Certified Cycling instructor. I love personal training because it is such a rewarding job. Being able to work with and educate clients to help them achieve their goals as such an amazing experience. I have experience with training one on one clients, small group training and large class sized training. Health and fitness are both a huge passion of mine and I always strive to help my clients discover that a healthy lifestyle is achievable and maintainable!

My name is Derek Sitzlar and I am a Personal Trainer for Full Scale Fitness. I graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and am a Certified Personal Trainer through The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Before college, I was a high school athlete, playing both basketball and football at Lake High School, in Uniontown, Ohio. I enjoy using the knowledge I have learned to help people improve their overall health through various exercises, training regimens, and becoming conscious of the daily decisions we make that have a direct effect on our health.

Stephen Radonjich, BS

My name is Stephen Radonjich, and I am a graduate of Malone University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science Pre-Physical Therapy. I am a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM) and plan to continue my education in the pursuit of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I believe personal health and wellness is extremely important, and feel it can often be overlooked in our fast paced modern world. As a former college athlete, I understand how important it is to manage time and stay disciplined in order to find balance in the responsibilities of life and personal fitness. My goal as a trainer is to bring out your inner athlete, and be your most supportive teammate in the pursuit of achieving your fitness goals.

Brooke Caplinger, CPT

I am a third year student at The Ohio State University majoring in Health Promotion, Nutrition, and Exercise Science. I am also minoring in Integrative Approaches to Health and Wellness and i am an ACE certified personal trainer. Post graduation I plan to pursue my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I was inspired to become a personal trainer because my high school cross country coaches had a very positive impact on me and my relationship with fitness! I hope to help improve peoples relationship with fitness the way my coaches did for me. In my free time I like to hangout with friends, go hiking, and play golf. and don’t forget, GO BUCKS!

Stephanie Radonjich

Hi, my name is Stephanie Radonjich and I am from Akron, Ohio. I currently attend The Ohio State University where I am studying Exercise Science. I completed my level 200 yoga teacher certification in 2020 and am registered with the Yoga Alliance. I started practicing yoga for the physical benefits, but ended up finding so much more. The confidence I found through yoga, along with increased strength and flexibility, inspired me to begin teaching. I hope to give people the tools and knowledge to take their yoga practice off their mat and face each day with a strong mind and body.

Dylan Papali, BS

Hi, my name is Dylan Papali and I'm originally from New Jersey, where I lived up until the age of 6. My family then moved to Cincinnati and we stayed there for 10 years before we moved to Pickerington, and that's where I've been ever since. I received my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University, and received my American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer certification on top of that. As good as it felt to graduate, I'm not quite done with school yet. I'm planning on earning a clinical doctorate (DPT) in physical therapy by the year 2025. I'm very passionate about fitness and helping others achieve their fitness related goals. I love meeting new people and hearing their story, as well as gaining fresh perspectives. My favorite hobbies include getting a workout in at the gym, playing basketball with my friends, keeping up with my fantasy football team, and blasting music in the shower. I have plenty of firsthand experience getting injured, and I know how it feels to be physically incapable of doing the things you love. That's what ultimately inspired me to go down this path, I want to help others to achieve their goals, big or small.

I am a recent graduate of Ohio State University where I earned my Bachelor's in Exercise Science Education. I am an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), and will be furthering my education by pursuing a Master's in data science. As a trainer, I know exercise is necessary to maintain your physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. However, I fully understand how challenging it can be to balance exercise with the responsibilities of daily life. It is my aim to help you find this balance and - hopefully - have fun doing it! When I'm not training or studying, I like to watch anime, play with my dog, shred on the guitar, and write music.

Quinn Butler, MS

Quinn Butler is a graduate from The University Akron in Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology/Adult Fitness. She has her certification in Personal Training and Exercise Is Medicine through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She has a background not only in Personal Training but Cardiology, Stress Testing and Cardiopulmonary Rehab. Quinn was born and raised in Ohio and now resides in St. George with her husband and two beagles. Quinn loves being outside and exploring all the natural beauties that are now nearby.

Mary Pershall, BS

Personal Trainer

Mary Pershall is a St. George native, who graduated from Dixie State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She has attained her personal training certification through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). Previously, she competed in NPC bodybuilding competitions and now participates in Olympic Lifting. Her background includes working with healthy adults as well as at-risk and special populations. She enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her boyfriend and their two pups.

Susan Webb, BS

Personal Trainer

Susan Webb is a Southern Utah native. She graduated from Dixie State University with a Bachelor degree in Exercise Science and is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She has almost 20 years of coaching experience having taught beginning to advanced level competitive gymnastics. She enjoys strength training and Olympic lifting and running with friends! She has completed 6 marathons, most recently she traveled to Athens, Greece with her husband to run the authentic marathon. She enjoys being with her family and adores her husband and 4 children and their dog, Sadie!
