PERSONAL TRAINER INSTRUCTION  :

Unilateral Incline Dumbbell Chest Press Start

Set the bench on a slight incline. Lay flat on your backside (supine), both feet on the floor and hold one dumbbell with a closed grip. Be sure to keep your forearms vertical and with a 90 degree angle in the elbow joint at the bottom of the repetition. Slowly lower the weight down, then exhale and press the weight up towards the ceiling. There should be no individual rotation or movement in the wrist.

Be sure to keep your stomach braced through the exercise. Being a unilateral exercise, this puts pressure on the abdomen and oblique muscles. Do not allow your torso to twist during the exercise. Do not perform this exercise if you have shoulder pain. Contact us if you have any questions on this exercise and its variations! One of our trainers would love to help you!
