Andy Hanson, Owner & Certified Trainer
I started Full Scale Fitness in the hope to change people’s lives with my own two hands. I wanted to develop a new approach to personal training and keep the training, well, personal! It all started when I realized I was not utilizing my passion for fitness like I knew I could. I knew there was a new age style of training called “online personal training” but every company I viewed was lacking that personal touch.
I even had seen a few exercise programs from so called “fitness professionals” only to be disappointed in the basic program they provided. That is when Full Scale Fitness was developed.
After building programs for people, I noticed that many were doing the exercises from the comfort of their own home. This is when I developed the in-home portion of Full Scale Fitness. I figured that they would benefit from me being there in person and sure enough, people thoroughly enjoy it! People loved the concept of getting fit in their own living room.
Here at Full Scale Fitness we believe that everyone has a specific goal unique to them. We don’t believe that every guy in the gym wants to get bigger or every female wants to lose weight. We believe in a full scale variety of goals whether it is sport specific, weight specific, strength specific, etc. Whatever your goal is, we can help you achieve it! That, is Full Scale Fitness.
Meet the Full Scale Fitness Registered Dietitian!
Rachel Suba, RD, LD
Rachel Suba is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Ohio (LD). She serves as the Registered Dietitian for Full Scale Fitness where she is responsible for providing individualized nutrition care to the clients of Full Scale Fitness. Rachel first joined the Full Scale Fitness team in October 2015.
Rachel’s passion to become a Registered Dietitian was sparked after her experience in culinary arts school. She desired to combine her love for food, athletic background, and helping others into a career she had a passion for. Rachel went onto gain her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Dietetics from The University of Akron (UA) and went through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics the last two years of her undergraduate career. This program enabled Rachel to complete the required supervised practice, along with nutrition course work. Rachel was placed in a variety of settings, including medical centers, long-term care facilities, school nutrition programs, health departments, wellness centers and many other locations.
During her time as a senior year in the program Rachel was granted the opportunity to work as the sports dietetic intern for The University of Akron athletics where she worked with Sports Medicine to develop and implement a nutrition education program for the student athletes at UA. Rachel holds a personal vested interest in sport nutrition due to her former career as a competitive gymnast for 15 years as well as her current involvement in the sport of powerlifting where she competes through USA Powerlifting (USAPL). Rachel’s food and nutrition philosophy is as follows: “I believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of food.
A well-balanced lifestyle, including a variety of foods, can adequately supply the necessary nutrients to live a healthful and vibrant life. Additionally, when it comes to optimizing athletic performance, following the ‘food-first’ method can safely supply the energy and nutrients to fuel the body, enhance training, and promote optimal performance.” Rachel’s professional associations include The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND), Ohio Academy of Nutrition Dietetics (ODA), and Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) dietetic practice group.
